After the 2017 WWE Superstar Shakeup Owens came to WWE SmackDown Live. He fought with Chris Jericho for a while Then he defeated AJ Styles to win the US Championship but that didn’t last long for Owens. After several fights, Owens was desperate to win a second shot at the title.

The result was some of the greatest battles of Owens his career, namely in a fight with the Authority and Shane O’McMahon. After a scuffle with Vince McMahon, Owens faced Shane O’Mac at Hell In A Cell in which Owens was assisted by his long-time opponent Sami Zayn.

Since since then, Owens and Zayn have been in a dispute between the Authority and they have succeeded in gaining favors with Daniel Bryan, the SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan (to reveal a potential battle among the two Authority characters within the plot).

WrestleMania Match Against Steve Austin

Kevin Owens soon challenged Roman Reigns to win The Universal Championship at TLC 2020and later during the Royal Rumble 2021but did not win the title in both of these events. Kevin Owens soon turned his attention on Sami Zayn reigniting their old rivalry. He beat Zayn in WrestleMania 37 and was a tyrant to Logan Paul after the match.

He was back to RAW as part of his 2021 Draft. Owens would bet on an opponent, then WWE World Champion Big E and the title challenger Seth Rollins. He would be a part of the title bout on the first day. In the course of the match, Owens and Rollins would become friends with Rollins.

The two stars were unable to win the title, and went on to not be able to challenge in an opportunity to compete for RAW Tag Team Championships on an episode of the RAW brand. Then, Owens started expressing his displeasure with WrestleMania 38being hosted in Texas which was a city that he hated.

He finally called out Stone Cold Steve Austin to be a part of his participation in KO Show at WrestleMania. Austin is from Texas and took up Owens invitation to take part in attend the KO Show. The KO Show was WrestleMania 38 on Saturday,the conversation at the KO Show soon heated up which led to a match. Austin’s very first match in a match since WrestleMania XIX.

It was the only time Owens was in charge of WrestleMania. Austin beat The Prizefighter during the show and, afterward, Owens switched his attention on Ezekiel, Elias’ younger brother, who Owens believed was Elias trying to deceive everyone. This resulted in a string of fights that culminated in the final match with Hell In A Cell,which Owens won.

Kevin Owens has returned to his old gimmick, the Prizefighter. In the recent RAW the wrestler violently fought Ezekiel prior to the match and suffered injuries. On the following RAW the wrestler went to fight Drew McIntyre, but it was disrupted due to the Usos.

Feud Against The Bloodline

Owens was to fight Roman Reigns and the rest of The Bloodline in the second part of 2022. Owens also demanded that his best buddy Sami Zayn to switch sides repeatedly. In Survivor Series WarGames,Owens was able to take on The Bloodline in a five-on-five WarGames match. But Zayn took a stand to end the match when he smacked Owens a low blow. Owens which was followed by an incredibly powerful kick that caused Owens to be taken down by Reigns.

The feud would last for a time. Then, at the Royal Rumble,Owens took on Reigns to The WWE Undisputed Universal Championship in a loss. He was a victim of the Bloodline’s attack after the contest. Reigns was able to force Zayn to strike Owens using a chair, but Zayn struck Reigns instead, thereby the former member was forced to leave The Bloodline.

The two of them were unable to reconcile with one their respective partners until the 17th of March episode of SmackDown during which Owens came in to rescue Zayn from a beating to the face by The Usos. Four of them most likely shook hands on Night One of WrestleMania Hollywood that resulted in Owens and Zayn becoming their own WWE Tag Team Champions, which was a first for Owens and also earned him an official Grand Slam Champion. The following day, Usos interfered in Reigns wrestling match with Cody Rhodes and Zayn and Owens came in to even the odds.

Kevin Owens’ Family
