Why Upcoming Artistes Struggle

Why Upcoming Artistes Struggle

THE UNRULY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOME BAYELSA ENTERTAINERS AND PROMOTERS

Firstly., I don’t even know if this heading correlates with what i wanna spill out but the inspiration of putting this piece came after listening to Elvidals new song, A King Is Born. Sincerely i was not happy after listening, why?? The song is just on one blog, and this is one of the most anticipated songs in Bayelsa, and I asked why isn’t this dope song trending??

This was why I was mad angry at E-mark for lambasting Timaya and Timi Dakolo for not supporting our local industry, how far have you gone with promoting yourself?? how are these super stars supposed to hear your music when you put zero or I don’t care effort in pushing you own music out??

Falz was no fool when he said without promotion real talents fit no blow, Speeddarligton, Vic O, etc and the likes, people call wacks are trending on social media cause the have people talk about them one way or another, Tonto Dike had the highest download of 2013, three days ago Tecno begged his followers on Twitter to help his new song “GO” trend, when a follower said Go ask the people you sent money, which stylishly is trending, now you see where am going with this promotion thingy?? You are never to big for promotion, no amount of promotion is enough this is where Facebook still puts sign up ads on Adsense

2014 El told me he was going to the studio to record and bloom promised to put it out on his blog, and i was inquisitive to know what happened to that relationship??

.

MY HONEST OPINION THAT COULD HELP.

.

1. Have Reasonable Friends On Your Account: I was among the first people that started this like4like ish, I laid my hands on auto likes too, but 2014 I stopped and cleared my friends list, now why this isn’t good as an upcoming?? If you post a song instead of getting a review in your post you are having 45 comments filled with like my stats back, no faking, be real and stop this stupid spamming shit, this alone makes you look childish.

.

.

2. Relate More With Promoters: now this includes, TV, Show, Radio Promoters as well as bloggers, have more promoter friends,e.g Ashraph is Lokcitymusic boss in far western Nigeria, but this dude has taken it upon himself to promote Funkcleff, [God Bless You, Ash].

.

.

3. Get To Know Artistes From Other States: As KRIZZ KUTZ, I got to know a lot of artists on this platform thru rap battles, the likes of Oladips, Gzone, Limerick, SlimBuck, and others too numerous to mention, for a reason or two this would build your fanbase in other places.

.

.

4. Submit Your Songs For Reviews, Rating, And To Music Critics: A good artist would want to hear others’ opinions.

.

.

5. Learn To Ask And Show Appreciation: Sometimes it’s not all about money, Bloggers like Nanabo Of 36Naija.com , Slimkelz of Yentownvibes, Bloom of Blooment, PamelaOwei of Pamelaoweisblog, and recently Andrew Milton of MiltonTrendz are willing to push your stuff out for free but have you asked help from them??

There is a misconception that blogger makes lots of cash while promoting the song, it’s true they make money from AdSense but these earnings are very little, It takes about 40k to host on WordPress a year and like 5k to get a domain a year, so like 40k – 50k yearly on a blog, So you should learn how to appreciate.

.

.

6. Help Promote Other Acts Too: This is simple logic, no one on earth can beat Payper Corleone to this, niggas gone share you music irrespective of who you are, don’t you feel happy seeing McMonica talk so much about McShakara?? When you help others you open windows of opportunity for yourself

Ahl continue Later!!
