Michael Ray Nguyen Stevenson (born on 19 November 1989) is better known under the screen name Tyga Tyga, is an incredibly talented American musician and rapper. He began his career by releasing a number of independent records and then signed an agreement to record with the prestigious labels Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records as well as Republic Records in the year 2008.

Tyga‘s debut album, No Introduction was released the same year and was followed by critically acclaimed Careless World The Rising of the Last King, and Hotel California Both of which climbed to the heights of second place on the U.S. Billboard 200. The fourth album of the band, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, was released in 2015. It was released at a very acceptable 4 on the Billboard 200.

He is from Compton, California, Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson who is more well-known by Tyga, his performance name Tyga was born on 19 November 1989 to parents who are of mixed heritage Jamaican-Vietnamese. The mother of his son, Pasionaye Nguyen is of Vietnamese origin, and the father of his is of Jamaican descent.

Tyga spent most of his early years in Compton prior to moving to the city that was adjacent to Gardena at the aged of twelve. As a kid, his life was strongly inspired by the likes of Fabolous, Lil Wayne, Cameron, and Eminem as well has often talked about his humble start in an income-strapped family.

His background was put in question in 2012 after an unreleased video shows his parents in the Range Rover, leading some to speculate on the circumstances of his childhood.

At the beginning of his career, Tyga released a number of mixtapes and demo tapes. The mixtape that he released in 2007 Young on Probation was a hit and caught the interest of Travie McCoy who was the singer of Gym Class Heroes. California rapper band Gym Class Heroes. Travie McCoy was impressed by the talent of the young artist and talent, offered the young musician a recording deal in the form of DCD2 Records, one of the numerous independent record labels (known in the past under the name Decadence Records).

 

In the same year, Tyga collaborated with fellow West Coast rapper Schoolboy Q and founded the label G.E.D. Inc. (Grinding each day and making every dollar or getting educated every day). Also, he is sporting a G.E.D. Inc tattoo over the right eyebrow.

On the 10th of June on the 10th of June, 2008 Tyga‘s debut album, his first as an artist on her own entitled “No Introduction it was released via Decaydance Records. Single Coconut Juice featuring Travie McCoy was released before the album. Diamond Life, one of the tracks from the album, was featured for the game The Need For Speed Undercover as well as Madden N.F.L. 2009, and also in the film Fighting which was released in 2009.

In the year 2008, Tyga signed an agreement 2008 with Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment, a part that is part of Cash Money Records. Tyga along with Lil Wayne first met in 2008 at the Video Music Awards, where Tyga performed a cover of This Isn’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race by Fall Out Boy.

Personal Life

Tyga and Blac Chyna first met at a glittering after party to Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E. Tour in Miami on the 5th of October, 2011. It was romance at first sight and the couple revealed their engagement to the world one week later, on the 9th of November in 2011.
