Larissa Macedo Machado (born March 30, 1993) is a gifted Brazilian artist, songwriter, and host of a television show called the Anitta. She signed a recording deal for her with Warner Music Brazil in January 2013 following her commercial success in Brazil with her debut track, Meiga and Abusada in 2012. After the debut of her debut single Show das Poderosas in 2013, she soared into national fame.

Anitta began her self-titled debut album in July of that year. The album produced four top songs on local charts and was later certified platinum.

Ritmo Perfeito (2014), her second studio album was also a modest commercial success in Brazil and was released the same day as her live debut album Meu Lugar. In 2015 she released her third studio album, Bang, which was gold-certified and brought forth four hits including The Deixa Ele Sofrer, Essa Mina e Louca, Cravo e Canela and Cravo e Canela. The album played a key role in establishing her ad-hoc position on her position on the Brazilian chart of music.

Between 2016 and 2018, she worked with a variety of international artists that included Nile Rodgers, Maluma, Iggy Azalea, Major Lazer, Alesso, and J Balvin. In 2017 Anitta released Paradinha her first single in Spanish which made her a part of a crossover with the Spanish language of Latin reggaeton and pop music.

Early Life

Anitta‘s profession as a professional singer began in 2010 when she met the producer of funk carioca Renato Azevedo (known as Batutinha). He had viewed some of her videos from home on YouTube and asked her to record a few songs.

Demo recordings were made for him. After she was cleared by him, she was selected to sign a contract in partnership with Furaco 2000 an independent label that specializes in funk and is an independent one.

Anitta Later, she released her debut track, Eu Vou Ficar which was played until the end of time by regional radio stations around Rio de Janeiro The song was a part of the TV show Armagedom which included other artists from the music niche. Her first TV appearance came on Cante se Puder on SBT’s Cante Se Puder on May 16, 2012, where she performed the single Extravasa the song written by axe musician Claudia Leitte, in a beer mug. She chose not to renew the contract with her contract with Furaco agreement in the month of June and joined K2L Entertainment. Anitta made a surprise appearance on the MTV Europe Music Awards on November 14 in conversation with host Saweetie. She will be opening at the Latin Grammy Awards in November 2021 with Gloria Estefan and Carlinhos Brown. She was a guest at the amfAR benefit dinner in November, along with Jeremy Scott, dressed in Moschino.

Anitta has been one of the participants of actor Sean Penn‘s Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE) charity event. She did a few songs and auctioned off a trip with her during the Brazilian Carnival shows, with the highest bid of $110,000 USD. The singer was on the track NO CHAO NOVINHA featuring Pedro Sampaio on the 9th of December.
