His stepfather passed away on the 20th of July, 1997, after being allegedly kidnapped at a nightclub. He then was thrown from the vehicle following his escape after being shot.

The infant Lil Wayne was admitted to a program for gifted students located at Lafayette Elementary School. Later, he was transferred to Eleanor McMain Secondary School where he continued his studies over two years.

In the early years of Marion Abramson Senior High SchoolLil Wayne quit school to pursue his music career. He was only fourteen years old.

He then was enrolled in the University of Houston in January 2005. He left after a short time due to his busy life.

Lil Wayne discovered his talents at age 8 when he began writing rap lyrics before he was discovered by Bryan Williams, who is an American musician, rapper along with co-founder and founder of the most prestigious American record label, Cash Money Records in the year 1991.

Bryan Williams, who also uses the aliases Birdman and Baby was awed by Lil Wayne’s talent and entrusted himself to mentor the inexperienced and young Lil Wayne. The result was that the singer ( Lil Wayne) was featured as a participant in Cash Money Records.

He then joined the American hip-hop scene as a teenager.

the duo of vocalists called duo of singers known as B.G.’z, who featured rapper Lil Doogie released their debut album titled The True Story on July 29, 1995.

He released two more albums, following “Lights Out” in 2000, and 500 Degreez in 2002, but neither could compare to his first Tha Block is Hot album.

His fourth album, Tha Carter released by Cash Money Records on June 29, 2004. The album was released at No. 5 on Billboard’s 200. It sold eleven6,000 copies within the first week on the US market. The album also earned gold certification from the RIAA.

Lil Wayne was named head of Cash Money in the summer of 2005. He achieved the feat of a lifetime in 2005 when he established the label Young Money Entertainment which was a brand that was part of Cash Money Records. However, due to an undisclosed reason in 2007, he quit the management of both labels.

The singer has released his 5th studio album Cater II, which was a follow-up to the album Tha Carter and was released by Universal Distribution in collaboration with Cash Money Records on December 6, 2005. The album surpassed expectations and even beat the record set by its predecessor when it debuted at number 2 on Billboard’s 200 album chart, selling more than 240,000 copies during just the initial week.

The Carter II was rewarded with a gold-certified certificate from RIAA on January 18, 2006, and then three weeks later, the car received platinum.

It couldn’t get any better before the release of what could be called his greatest album ever which he named Cater III which was released on the 10th of June, 2008. The album reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and garnered triple-platinum certification from RIAA on the 12th of February, 2009.

Carter III Carter III was also the reason for the first Grammy prize in the category of Best Rap Album in 2009. Even in 2009, he won three additional Grammy awards for Best Rap Solo Performance by A Milli Best Rap Track for Lollipop as well as the award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for the song Swagga Like Us alongside T.I, Jay-Z, and Kanye West.

Other notable albums to his credit include Rebirth (2010), Tha Carter IV(2011), Free Weezy Album (2015), and more. There are also collaborations and performances with other artists throughout the time.

Lil Wayne also was praised and awarded kudos for his mixtapes including Dedication 2 (2006) and Da Drought 3 (2007).
