On the 17th of September, 2019, VfL Wolfsburg agreed to cancel Babett’s contract on a mutual basis so she could be a part of the Spanish Primera Division team CD Tacon and sign an agreement for two years with the club based in Madrid.

INTERNATIONAL CAREER

Peter was the first player to make her debut with her debut for the German National team back in March 2006 when they faced Finland. She was part of the Germany winning team in the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup, however, she did not participate in any of the games. A year later she took home the bronze medal during the 2008 Summer Olympics in which she began to play regularly for Germany in the knockout portion of the competition. Peter took part in the team that won the seventh time in the history of the country in the 2010 European Championship. Peter scored her first goal for the national team during the Algarve Cup facing China in March of 2010. Peter was picked to the German 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup squad.

PERSONAL LIFE

Peter completed her studies at the Potsdam Sports Gymnasium on June 7, 2007 and received the Abitur diploma. Then, in October of 2007, Peter was part of the support group for sports that is part of the German Armed Forces ( Bundeswehr). At the age of five, Peter suffers from facial nerve paralysis. When she was 15 she underwent an operation that helped improve her condition. Peter is openly gay, being in a relationship with Ella Masar. In February of 2020, the couple announced that they were expecting the birth of a child.
