The event of the past few days had been catastrophic and devastating at the same time. People are becoming really frustrated, yesterday someone from Lagos State University was rescued from a lagoon yesterday while trying to end his life., why? Because in his own words, “what is in this life to live for?”. You’d say its stupid trying to take your own life but you must also understand that depression is real and we should be there for such people and not get carried away by any form of euphoria of the season.

Now back to the aspect of Super Eagles bowing out, this is one major problem with Nigerians, we tend to see negativity as a good thing if it is used to fight evil. Sometimes it is very difficult for us to look at the bright side. The trend is people making posts asking the super eagles to bow out of the ongoing Fifa world cup, now one protest has said the Super Eagles should win it in honour for the dead. No body is asking the eagles to print ” End The Deaths In Nigeria” and things of sort underneath the jerseys so that they strive to score and show it to the world. Why can’t we think of killing two birds with one stone? Must we always find the easy way out? That winning mentality is what we need to overcome a lot of the issues we now face today in the country.
