Loan to Celtic
On September 1, 2021, Jota was signed by Scottish Premiership club Celtic on loan for the 2021-22 seasons, with the option of buying the club for EUR7.5 million. A few days later the player played his first game for Celtic in the 3-0 win at home against Ross County, playing the whole game. He was also part of the team for next year’s tournament, where they beat Italy by 4-3 following extra time.
