Halsey was born on the 29th of September 1994 in Edison, New Jersey. Her parents quit college when her mother found out she was pregnant with her.

She is the mother to her daughter, Nicole Frangipane is employed as An emergency medical tech as does her dad, Chris Frangipane is the manager of a car dealership.

Nicole Frangipane is of Italian and Hungarian descent, and Chris Frangipane is of African-American descent and has some Irish roots.

Halsey began making music at the age of 17 and, in 2012, she started posting videos on social media platforms like YouTube and Kik specifically Tumblr under the user name “se7enteenblack”. She was famous for the song that was a parody to Taylor Swift’s hit song “I Knew You Were Trouble,” which was inspired by Taylor Swift’s romance and Harry Styles. She later wrote a sequel song about their romance, that was released online at the beginning of 2013.

In early 2014 Halsey attended an event and was introduced to a “music guy” who asked her to work on the song with him as she was a fan of his voice. What resulted was a track about her ex-boyfriend titled ” Ghost,” which was released on SoundCloud shortly after the song was recorded. Within a matter of hours, the track was gaining popularity online and she was approached by various record labels, and the track eventually charted and got airplay on the radio.

Then she made a deal with Astralwerks believing they offered her more freedom to express herself than other labels who contacted her.

Then, Halsey played various acoustic performances in various cities, under various stage names. Then, she decided to choose Halsey to be her name on stage for the long term since it’s an anagram of her name, as well as an allusion to the Halsey Street station on the New York City Subway in Brooklyn which was a location that she used to spend a lot of her teenage years.

She also said that Halsey is the most well-known name she used. After years of writing poems, Halsey began writing more savage songs to market them. Music was the basis of her “confessional approach” and a way to heal herself after her difficult experiences and the hardships she suffered.

Although she has been working with producer and writer Alev Anydin Alev Aydin, she has previously been involved in romantic relations with a number of famous people in the past.
