Dai Verse whose full name is Ifeanyi Chiname Lennon Akandu (born May 23rd, 1998) is a rising Afro-pop and Afro-fusion Nigerian artist. He is professionally known under the moniker Dai Verse.

The Lagos-born musician began his career by releasing his first track, Control, in June of 2019 and his follow-up track, Love Later which came out in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The singles’ release placed Dai Verse as a musician to keep an eye on However, he did get his breakthrough with the release of Cocaine (Your Body).

Dai Verse was born to the Akandu family on the 23rd of May 1998. His parents gave him the name Ifeanyi Chineme Lennon. Born and raised in Lagos, the capital city of Lagos living in the Surulere metropolitan area.

His father, Mr. Boniface Akandu, was an entrepreneur who worked alongside his mother Mrs Akandu is the owner of a chain of supermarkets. It is their second and the first in the lineage of family members.

From a Christian family and having Igbo origins, Dai Verse went to Church often throughout his youth and was taught ethical values by his family. As an indigene from Imo State, he and his family visited his hometown over the Christmas season.

As a young man who lived within Lagos, Dai Verse was inspired by the music created by the most popular Nigerian artists like D’Banj P-Square, 2Baba, Davido, and Wizkid as well as American pop stars like Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Beyonce, and Neyo. Dai Verse was enthralled by the desire to create music. He started creating his own music, and, in some instances, it was a cover of songs that he loved.

When he was in high school He wowed his classmates with his singing voice as the school held events.

He was a guest on Zugo‘s top-selling track, Colorado, in 2020.

The acclaim of this Soundz-produced single grew in the fourth quarter of 2021. It became a viral hit on social media and was used by a variety of content creators to make their videos. The music video for Cocaine( Your Body) was released on the 10th of November 2021. It is directed by Ahmed Mosh.

The popularity of Cocaine was enough to cause his second song, Sweet Daddy, to be extremely well-received on the music scene and was one of the top songs for TikTok videos made by Nigerians. The song was written by Semi Beatz and Mixed and mastered by Alpha Ojini. It came out in May 2021.
