Breaking News! Wike Wins Guber Election In Rivers State

the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Rivers state has been declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) , as winner of the governorship election.

Teddy Adias, returning officer for the election, made the declaration at the head office of INEC in the state.

He said Wike polled 886,264 votes ahead of Biokpomabo Awara, candidate of the African Alliance Congress (AAC), who garnered 173,859 votes.

The PDP candidate polled 712,405 votes ahead of his closest rival.
Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, had declared support for Awara since the All Progressives Congress (APC) was ineligible to field candidates in the elections.
