Aisha Buhari Visits Survivors of Lagos Building Collapse By Akinwale.

The First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari yesterday paid a visit to the survivors of the Itafaji building collapse in Lagos state.

We earlier reported that over 100 pupils were feared dead, after a school building collapsed moments earlier in at Itafaji, Lagos Island, Lagos State.

Tragedy struck, as the three-storey building housing, a school collapsed, killing and trapping many.

Mrs Buhari was at the General Hospital, Marina to check on the victims.

The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has vowed to demolish all illegal school buildings in the Ita Faji area of the state. He gave the assurance on Wednesday while responding to concerns raised by some residents on the increase in illegal schools when he visited the scene of a building collapse.
