Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud was born on the 31st of August 1985, to prince Salman bin Abdulaziz and his third wife, Fahda bint Falah Al Hithlain. Fahda is the daughter of Rakan bin Hithlain who was leader of the Al Ajman tribe. In 1915, the Al Ajman tribe under Dhaydan’s leadership battled against Al Saud and the brother of King Abdulaziz Saad Bin Abdul Rahman died during the Battle of Kanzan.
Bin Salman is the eldest of the six children of his mother. He is the eighth and the 7th son of his dad. The full siblings of his father are Turki Bin Salman as well as Khalid bin Salman. Prince Mohammed holds a bachelor’s degree in law from King Saud University.

Chief of the Court
In June 2012, Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz died. Mohammed bin Salman was elevated to the number two spot in the hierarchy as his father was appointed the crown prince’s successor and first deputy prime minster. Soon after, he began to remake the court according to his personal style. On the 2nd of March, 2013, the head of the crown Prince Court, Prince Saud Bin Nayef was appointed as governor for the Eastern Province and bin Salman succeeding him as governor. He also received the title of minister. On April 25, 2014 bin Salman was appointed the state minister.
