FG Declares Public Holiday (See Dates)
The Federal Government has declared Tuesday and Wednesday as public holidays to mark the Eid-Fitri Celebration.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Georgina Ehuriah, made this known on Friday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Ehuriah who congratulated the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan Fast, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government.
She made the declaration in a statement signed by Director Press & Public Relations, of the ministry, Mohammed Manga on Friday in Abuja.
Ehuriah enjoined all Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for the peace, unity, prosperity and stability of the nation.
Ehuriah used the opportunity to reaffirm the determination of the Federal Government to protect the lives and property of Nigerians.
