Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon (born 6 December 1993) is well-known under the performance title Reekado Banks He is a gifted Nigerian musician and singer.
It was signed to Mavin Records in 2014 but left the label in the year 2018. He was at The Spicy‘s stage prior to signing his agreement signed with Mavin Records.
Reekado Banks was named Rookie of the Year at the Headies 2014. He also won an award that was criticized as the Next Rated at the Headies 2015.
The album that he released as his debut studio album Spotlight was released on September 1, 2016. It came out at the top of the Billboard World Albums chart.

Career
Reekado Banks began recording his first batch of songs in the year 2008. His brother, who was his producer, wrote the majority of his songs and helped him with recording, singing, and writing. He got the name Stage Reekado Banks by mixing the meanings of the two names.
The first portion of his name is a reference to “Strong Ruler”, while the latter loosely refers to “Wealth”.He has been known to cite Don Jazzy, 2Baba, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Olamide, and M.I Abaga as his key musical inspirations.
The record deal he signed to Mavin Records came because his brother submitted a few of his tracks to the label during an internet talent hunt. Reekado Banks got signed to Mavin Records after his submissions were picked from more than 5000 submissions.
Interview with National Mirror, Banks said that his brother was the one who recorded his music and had a conversation with the record label on his behalf of him without his prior approval. Reekado Banks has also stated that the National Mirrorhe’s a multifaceted artist who creates music due to the fact that humans are diverse and have different preferences.
Reekado Banks released his track ” Turn It Up” on the 21st of February 2014, which also happened to be the day that he signed with Mavin Records. The track featured the vocals of Tiwa Savage in its release as the debut solo single for Mavin Records. He was also featured in the critically acclaimed single “Dorobucci”, alongside Don Jazzy, Korede Bello, Tiwa Savage, Di’Ja Di’Ja, Dr. SID as well as D’Prince.
Reekado Banks also collaborated with some musicians mentioned earlier to release three songs that were a collaboration: ” Adaobi“, ” Arise” as well as ” Looku Looku“. On February 13, 2015, He released his “Don Jazzy”-produced track ” Katapot“. It was said to be a slamming track aimed at DJ D’banj as well as Wande Coal. In February 2015, Don Jazzy dispelled the accusations via tweets.
In an interview with Vanguard Newspaper, Reekado Banks told Vanguard Newspaper that he had created ” Katapot” to thank his fans.
In July of 2015, Nigerian telecommunications company Globacomsigned Reekado Banks to an endorsement agreement. On the 7th of December in 2018 the singer announced his departure from Mavins Records after five years. The announcement also raised the start of his own business, Banks Music.
In September of 2019, the singer-songwriter fired his older brother Temi Solomon as his manager. When asked why the reason he was fired the manager explained: “It was just next-level dealings, I wanted to get somewhere else, the vision became a lot farther like I saw farther than I used to see and I just needed somebody that’ll see as much, most especially someone that’s been there with other people (artists) but I and my brother are cool”.
After a long absence without hits, Reekado Banks returned in 2021 with a brand-new song called ” Ozumba Mbadiwe“.
