Covid-19: Come For Testing – NDDC Begs Workers

FCT Discharges 30 Coronavirus Patients

Following the death Ibanga Bassey Etang, executive director, finance and administration and recent confirmation of six other employees of the Niger Delta Development Commission, as COVID-19, the commission has directed its members of staff to present themselves for COVID-19 testing as a matter of public health safety.

The Commission made this known in a press release issued yesterday by the Director, Corporate Affairs, NDDC, Charles Odili.

The statement noted that the Commission has directed its workers to self isolate, while it liase with the Rivers State Public Health Emergency team and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control,  to conduct tests for Coronavirus for members of staff and their dependents.

The commission expressed that some of the people who were tested earlier, including the offices of the acting Managing Director, as well as that of the Acting Executive Director Projects, came out positive.

He said, “Staff of the remaining directorates and departments have been advised to avail themselves of the opportunity of being tested at the Medical Unit of the commission which has been fully decontaminated.
