Early Life

Seyi Shay was born to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Oluwaseyi Odedere on December 21, 1985. Her birthplace was in the city of London. was raised in Tottenham, London to Nigerian parents.

Her mother is in the Northern region of Nigeria and her father is a citizen of Ife, Osun State, South West, Nigeria.

Seyi Shay was born into an extended family of four, with three older children (two brothers and one sister). She and her siblings were nurtured by their mother who was a single parent.

She was raised in a religious environment and was a uni-parent in her teenage years.

Education

At the age of two, Seyi Shay traveled to Nigeria with her mother. There, she was educated at the Command High School in Maryland, Lagos before returning to London for her studies at university.
