Matteo Elias Kenzo Guendouzi Olié born on 14 April, 1999) is a French professional footballer, who plays as midfielder at Ligue 1 club Marseille, on loan from Premier League club Arsenal, and for the France the national side.

Early in the career
Guendouzi began his career in the academy at Paris Saint-Germain at the age of six. He quit Paris to join the Lorient academy in the year 2014. After playing in Lorient’s reserve team Lorient reserve team He was then made a member of the first team in 2016.

Lorient
Guendouzi was first introduced to Lorient on October 15th, 2016 during his debut in the Ligue 1 match against Nantes with a loss of 1-2. Guendouzi played nine times in all competitions during his first season in 2016-17 when Lorient were sent to the second tier of the league at the conclusion of the season.

On the 20th of June, 2020 following an altercation post-match between him and Brighton footballer Neal Maupay, Guendouzi was removed of Arsenal training and removed from of the team for match days due to his past history of problems regarding Guendouzi’s “attitude and general conduct.”
Loan to Hertha BSC
5 October 2020 was the date that Arsenal declared that Guendouzi was to be loaned for Hertha BSC for the duration of the 2020-21 season. 1 November 2020 was the day that Guendouzi first made an appearance in a match in the Bundesliga against VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. International career
Guendouzi is a native of the suburbs in Paris, France. Guendouzi has played for France at levels that range from France U20s. A some Moroccan origins, Guendouzi was approached by Morocco manager Herve Renard in 2017 about changing his allegiance to join his country’s Morocco National team. But after Guendouzi’s dad came to meet Renard in March of 2017 Guendouzi opted to stay and declare loyalty to France.
