Inga deCarlo Fung well-known by the alias Foxy Brown as well as Fox Boogie, was born and was raised in Brooklyn, New York, on the 6th of September, 1978. She was the daughter of Keith Stahler an Afro-Trinidian who was a mechanic, and their mother Judith Marchand Indo-Trinidadian was an African-American Brooklyn native. She also has Chinese-Trinidadian ancestry.
They have two sons: Pretty Boy and Anton Marchand. Foxy Brown was born in the Park Slope section of Brooklyn and went to Brooklyn College Academy. Her parents divorced when she was just four years old. The result was that she along with the rest of the family were moved into the home of their maternal grandfather.
When she was a teen, Foxy Brown began rapping freestyles with her peers. She later took on an acting title Foxy Brown and began performing in local hip-hop events.
Her professional career started with an original version of LL Cool J‘s I Shot Ya in 1995. In the next year, she released the album she titled her first, Ill Na Na which peaked at seven in the Billboard 200 chart.

Career
As a child, Foxy Brown was the winner of a talent competition held in her hometown of the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, New York. The members of the production team Trackmasters who were making LL Cool J’s Mr. Smith album were there and were awestruck enough to ask her to perform for them on I Shot Ya.

Foxy Brown also appeared on the soundtrack to the movie The Nutty Professor, performing on the tracks Touch Me Tease Me by Case and Ain’t No Niggle by Jay-Z. She became an overnight star due to her exceptional talent and her provocative rapping from an early age.

After signing a new contract with Def Jam under his leadership, Foxy Brown and Jay-Z began work on Black Roses featuring production from The Neptunes, Kanye West, Timbaland, and Dave Kelly.
Foxy Brown claimed she was Barrington Levy Dido, Luther Vandross, Mos Def, Baby Cham, Spragga Benz, Shyne, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, KRS-One, Roxanne Shante, and Jay-Z were all scheduled to appear throughout the record, however, it wasn’t certain whether all of them would appear on in the end version.
Foxy Brown quit Def Jam for the second time following the loss of her hearing and was forced to delay the release date of her album. She founded her own record label named Black Rose Entertainment as well Koch Records became the distributor.
Foxy Brown states that between 2004 to 2007 she recorded enough songs to make two albums. She planned to release some of the songs in her street album The Brooklyn’s Don Diva.

Personal Life
At the end of 1997, Foxy Brown became married to Kurupt Kurupt, another rapper. In 1999, they split because of unresolved issues. In 2001, she was engaged to a rapper whose name was Spragga the Benz. They have a child whose name is Baby C.
Then, in 2000, the actress made the announcement she suffered from
depression. Foxy Brown later entered rehab for drug addiction at Cornell University Medical College to seek treatment for her addiction to opioids noting that she was unable longer perform or record without having to resort to the use of morphine.
The year 2005 was the time Foxy Brown was said to suffer from hearing loss. This caused her to wear a hearing aid and during recording, she was able to hear tapping beats on her shoulder.
Foxy Brown was previously engaged to Ricardo Brown (1999-2000). She was once with Rick Ross (2008), Spragga Benz (2001-2004), Maino, Akon, Jay-Z, DMX, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Nas, Benzino and Shyne.
