On the 19th November of 2019, Boadu made his debut for the Netherlands national team in the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying match against Estonia scoring the fifth and final goal of an 5-0 win. Boadu also became the first person born after the turn of the century to play and score goals for the Netherlands national team.
