Jah Lead had his basic school education at St John’s Preparatory School where he discovered his musical talent. He then pursued secondary education at the Swedru Secondary School (SWESCO) in Agona Swedru in the Central Region of Ghana. At secondary school, Jah Lead continued to build his musical foundation, nurtured his discovered talent, and performed to the amusement of his schools mates during school-organized entertainment events. Jah Lead later got admission to pursue further studies at the University of Cape Coast, at his third year, he finally decided to enter into mainstream music.

His major transition came when he got laced with the Highgrade Family; a renowned music management group in the Ghanaian music industry that was founded and headed by established Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artist Samini. Jah Lead as the name goes is a versatile musician whose musical prowess revolves around a myriad of genres such as Reggae, Dancehall, and Ghanaian Highlife music. As an artist, his music touches on daily core real-life issues that confront society. His distinct vocal prowess and choice of melodies in the making of his works distinguish him from his peers.
