Favi belongs to the Gen Z generation as he was born on May 3, 1999, just a few weeks prior to the inauguration of Fourth Republic and the inauguration of former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

He was born to his Southern Nigerian family of Mr. Nicholas Chukwudi Ikemefuna and Mrs. Uche Emelda Ikemefuna. After his birth, at an event that was joyful and well-attended by family members as well as friends and well-wishers, the baby was named Favour Chinedu Chikwuedu Ikemefuna. The name Chinedu is a reference to the god of heaven. Chinedumeans, ” God Leads” in his dialect.

While a student He was a frequent visitor to music studios on the UNIBEN campus and quickly earned a name as a skilled rapper. In the process of honoring his rapping skills and songwriting throughout the day, Favibegan made his own tracks. But he wasn’t happy about the work because the music he wrote was something he wanted to do better, and he chose not to advertise his singles.

In search of more and his peers, he made his first official song in the studio of the A-list engineer and studio owner, Spyritmyx. With a focus on the UNIBEN crowd, Favipromoted the song extensively in no time it became the top song of students on the campus. So, it was no surprise that the song grew beyond the university campus and landed on the street corners of Benin City, where he received praise from the citizens of Benin City.

Working with musicians, The Pride Of The South and Hullo, Favi released the collaboration album, Family Business in the month of December 2021. Since the release of the music project, which is a 3 track EP has received a lot of attention throughout the nation, particularly in Lagos. It has received good airplay on top radio stations, the project has widened Favi‘s fans since more and more people are aware of his amazing artistic talents.

In the wake of the success of the Family Business, Favi has been granted and honored a number of invitations to perform at events all over the country. The EP also has established the path for the young artist to develop in the music industry with a number of projects scheduled to be released in the near future.
