Lecturers Get N34 billion Minimum Wage Upfront, Federal Government; ASUU

The federal government of Nigeria has said it will pay approximately N34 billion as upfront minimum wage significant adjustments in the schooling sector useful from 2019.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Mr. Chris Ngige stated that this was to fix the lingering crisis in the educational sector.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Mr. Chris Ngige made this known while conversing with reporters on the protracted strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), and others on Tuesday 24th May 2022 in Abuja Nigeria.
